NextUp Brașov – III Edition: A Grand Barber Event with Top Artists and Unique Moments

The third edition of NextUp Brașov brought together over 1500 passionate barbers from all over the country, confirming the event's position as one of the largest and most important festivals dedicated to the art of barbering in Romania.

The atmosphere was full of energy, inspiration, and professionalism, with each moment designed to offer participants both practical information and motivation for the future.

A Spectacular Opening

The event started with an exciting live violin performance by @madu.violin, an artistic moment that set the tone for the entire day. It was followed by a video message addressed to the entire community, narrated by barber @benifoarfeca, highlighting the unity and passion that define the group.

International Collections and Presentations

First to break the ice was Ciprian Ungureanu with the collection „Elegance”, showcasing refinement and attention to detail.
From Spain, Richard Ojeda brought a breath of fresh air, impressing with his technique and distinctive style. Equally expressive was Alexandr Tereshko, who combined influences from various subcultures in his creations, creating a unique visual spectacle.

Innovation in Barbering

Barbers need the best tools, and on the NextUp stage, Cristian Bostan, founder of Rovra, premiered the new hair clipper Icon, a moment eagerly awaited and applauded by the entire community.

Thematic and Inspirational Shows

A moment full of dynamism was offered by Virgil the Barber and Sergiu Mihalce, who combined barbering and entertainment with a theme of „Squid Game”.
After the break, successful Romanians based in England, Emi Bertea and Spuk, reunited on the NextUp stage, offering an emotional moment that touched the hearts of the participants.

This was followed by the show from team Bogdan Cernat și Ghiță the Barber together with the group Provmen, presenting barbering as a journey between tradition and future.

„Dau Moda” Competition and Surprise Moments

A highlight of the day was the awarding of the winners of the online contest „Dau Moda”, with over 60 entries. The evaluation, ensuring complete transparency, was carried out exclusively by international speakers.

The winner of the previous edition returned to the stage for a special performance, alongside a breakdance team and artist Macanache, to the delight of the participants.

World-Class Speakers

The conclusion of the event was marked by two eagerly awaited names:

• Emanuel Medina, who inspired with his demonstrations and messages of confidence conveyed to the participants;

• Josh Lamonaca, a true master who, even at his third participation in NextUp, always manages to bring new perspectives and valuable lessons.

A Community More United Than Ever

The entire day was rounded off with interactive sessions, lotteries, prizes, and opportunities to ask questions to the artists. It concluded with a memorable after-party, and the next day coincided with the International Barber Day, offering an extra reason to celebrate.

The event would not have been possible without the support of partners: Gamma+, Barbicide, Nishman, Rovra, and Finaqua. Moreover, a special moment saw Mr. Edi Bombi, a therapist and chiropractor with extensive experience, on stage, complementing the event with valuable information on health and balance.

NextUp Brașov, third edition, demonstrated that barbers in Romania are a united, passionate, and continually evolving community. It was an intense day, full of teachings, emotions, and unforgettable moments, showing that barbering is not just a trade, but a true art form of expression.
